Cubs Win 2016 World Series

Cubs Win!! Cubs Win!! Go Cubs Go!! I have been blessed the past 3 years to be with the Cubs organization as a roving instructor. Their is such a positive culture that has been built from Top to Bottom. The Ownership (Ricketts Family) & Theo Epstein, Jed Hoyer, Jason McLeod, and others on the Leadership TEAM, Joe Maddon & all the coaches, the MLB players and Milb players, minor league coaches and support staff, have been so wonderful to be with in the daily work at all levels in many different sites. These people all breed incredible success. Congrats to ALL my wonderful friends in the Cubs organization. The hard work put in always pays off. Now, the Cubs can have that over due parade for all the great fans and MLB team.

Cubs have been "Hot" in Games 5 & 6 of World Series

I left Chicago Sunday morning after game 4 & our Cubs bats warmed up big time, after being somewhat cool Friday & Saturday, in games 5 & 6. Great to see so many offensive players get warmed up and of course the pitching, Arrieta and Lester and Chapman (what a trio of All-Star Pitchers) continues to be outstanding. Back to the offense, Chris Bryant, what a nice young man, has homered a couple times; Addison Russell, also tremendous person, has gone "grand slam"; Ben Zobrist, what a dynamic individual who began his college career in a small school baseball program at Mt. Olivet Univ. In Indiana Under the excellent tutelage of Coach Elliott Johnson then finished his career at Dallas Baptist, has been Hot with the bat the entire play-off; Anthony Rizzo, the absolute leader and "Rocky Balboa" of the Cubs offense day to day, has really warmed up and finished the 9th inning of 6th game with a home run. Defense continue to be the best in baseball and with Kyle Hendricks on the mound for game seven Cubs have an excellent opportunity to bring home the World Series Title to Chicago for first time since 1908. Go Cubbies!! Can't wait til game time tonight for 7th and final WA game for 2016.

Game 4 Works Series & Jason Kipnis

Jason Kipnis played for me in Cotuit in the Cape Cod Collegiate Baseball Summer League in 2008. I could certainly see quickly this young man could just hit the baseball I thin on. Christmas morning without any daily work and it was fun to throw him BP. It was obvious he would most likely play MLB baseball one day after leaving Arizona State University. The question might have been at that time just what position was best suited for his skills. Jason played CF for the Kettleers but during the season he took ground balls at 2B. Now, he is an All-Star 2B and World Series hero. Jason hit the 1st 3 run home run in Wrigley Field since Babe Ruth. Congrats to him! However, Cubbies with Lester then Arietta on the mound will take this series to 7 games & then we will find out which team is the best in 2016! I still believe Cubs will prevail!

Chicago Miracle Mile was buzzing all day today (Saturday). I Walked along Michigan Ave. Mid-afternoon and almost had to turn sideways to move thru many stores such as Under Armor (Official athletic wear of the Cubs) and Chicago Sports Apparel, etc. it was fun to see & hear the energy in this town and almost all generated by the Cubbies Success.
It's time to board the Cubs Bus for Wrigley Field and Game 4. Go Cubs

An old fashioned Pitchers Duel at Wrigley last night for 1st World Series game at Wrigley since 1945. A wonderful family from Rockport, Ill. Were sitting in our row & the grandmother was born in 1945. She took a limousine the 2 hours to last nights game & 2 hours home after the game. She, her daughter & granddaughter were a taste of these great in Cubs Fans. Cubbies will get it going tonight to even the series!!

Cubs & MLB event at Navy Pier in Chicago

The Cubs & MLB gave so many wonderful people, who love the Cubs and just like baseball, a social event to enjoy at the Navy Pier in Chicago that none of us will ever forget. The venue was fantastic! The food and music was world class! The people in attendance had a marvelous time listening to top rated entertainers while visiting with good friends and meeting new people. Big Thank you to all who worked long hours to pull this extravaganza together. It is finally "WS game day at Wrigley Field!" Go Cubs

Subject: Arrived in Chicago

On the ground in Chicago for WS. I have seen a few of the staff and coaches at the airport and hotel who I have the privilege of working with in Cubs organization. It will be really nice to see so many of them, who live across this wonderful country and around the world, this weekend. I believe the Cubs, without a doubt, are the best organization in baseball from top to bottom. The leadership is just so caring and encouraging and brings everyone together as a very loving family. The entire organization has been so great to me for my three years with them and many people throughout the Cubs have been so helpful and encouraging & really picked me up in 2016 after the passing away of my wife. I am heading out to walk the streets of Chicago and see all the Cub blue! Go Cubs

2016 World Series ⚾️

It is Thursday afternoon Oct. 27, 2016 & I am getting ready to land in Chicago to meet up with many of my wonderful co-workers from the Chicago Cubs. I have been so blessed to work for the Cubs the past three years. I have had many outstanding experiences in and around playing and teaching and coaching baseball but this has definitely been my best overall experience in my 40+ years of college and professional baseball.
I look forward to experiencing on the ground what is happening in the city of Chicago. I absolutely know from just the excitement on this American flight of many fans wearing Cub blue that the excitement of the fans, and certainly the smiles and exuberance of my peers with the Cubs, will make this 2016 World Series experience something very special. Probably a once in a lifetime opportunity and experience.
